After using Jekyll for over a year I've decided to migrate my personal website from Jekyll to Hugo. I've always wanted my website to be minimal and clean, which is why I opted for Jekyll which was a perfect choice for me, given that it Jekyll is a static site generator 📝. It was easy for me to setup and host it on GitHub Pages, because of the compatibility of GitHub pages with Jekyll. Thanks to Tom Preston-Werner, GitHub founder. Bue one of those few things which I think Jekyll lacks are Fast Build time & More Third-Party Integrations. However deploying Hugo over GitHub pages is not that efficient as that of Jekyll, also thanks to Netlify which made it easier for me to deploy Hugo site with a click! 😉 . This site is still under development and further a lot has to be updated.
P.S - I've lost most of my (Jekyll) posts which were to be migrated to this new Hugo blog, which I'll recover from the backup I had created.
